Well, I've been screwed again. My co-worker asked me to fill in for her Monday because her mother was having chest pains and was being taken to the hospital. This girl always has hospital drama. (Can anybody else hear someone calling "Wolf?") Anyway she was supposed to let me know how mom was and if she would be working Wednesday to let me take care of the things I had to do Monday. Haven't heard a word. So now I've got to go in tomorrow in case she doesn't show up. I'll be pissed either way. Either I lose my last for two weeks (Labor Day is in the way) or I'll have to get up at 5 am when I could have slept in.

My damn dog knocked a glass if iced coffee all over my laptop. Now all most of the keys are sticking. I guess I shouldn't complain. But I'm gonna. He's a terrier and he jumps and hops every time I sneeze. I need the Dog Whisperer to come set hm straight.

I spent the day reading the comments after the articles in a local news website. There's one fellow called "Quanellxisadoofus." He's an instigator and an agitator. And he's funny. It made me miss all the snarking you can find here. I've got to expand my groups and find some good snarkers.

Oh, oh. I'm over run with cats again. I brought home Katie just before Christmas. And three weeks ago I brought home the most beautiful kitten I've ever seen. She's a cream color with grey dustings on her face, tail and legs. And then Friday, someone dumped a 6 wk old kitten at Cougar. Suzann couldn't keep it so I brought it home with me. I mean it's 6 weeks old! Whatcha' gonna do? Leave it there? I don't think so.

Those damn storm chasers have just about driven me over the edge. They're here to clean up after Hurricane Ike, but mercy people. It's been 7 months. I'm sick to death of them. They tell me they only have two more weeks but today I learn the only other place they're allowed in is shutting them off. So that means for their last week here I'll have even more of the fools than I have to deal with now. I don't think I Can make it.

Oh oh! I'm beginning to think Katie might be a boy. Cats ought to come with labels. But this is a common problem in my family. Heather has a Cynthia and Beverly has a Phoebe. So I'll do like they did and keep the name. But I will start calling her "him." That's something Beverly never did.

Well I'm up to 325 books on LibraryThing. That doesn't include Mom's books, cookbooks, computer books or the general nonfiction around the house. Or the waist high stack put up against the hallway bookshelf. Mercy me. I'm going to have to take photos of my bookshelves and post them on Blogger.

One of my resolutions this year is to get back to playing in the sand box called Live Journal. I come on every couple of weeks and look through places of interest, but I never seem to post. I'm a paid member. So it's kinda like buying a car and then putting it in the garage, never to be seen again. Stupid.

I got involved in Blogger. I read (alot) and I got into the readers circle. So much that I began to take it a little too seriously. Worrying about my little lame posts. I'm not a critic so there was no reason for my to try to keep up with the English Lits who live there. Time to acknowledge my non-eloquence and just have fun.

Some one dumped 3 puppies under my house. Animal control is full and the SPCA costs too much. No wonder they got dumped.

Hot diggedy dog! I've taken my vacation. This year my birthday lands on Thanksgiving. And to celebrate, I've strung together 10 days off. It don't get no better than that.
